About Gus Creek Ranch

Our story begins with a love for the land, the people, and the peaceful spirit of Montana's Petty Creek Valley

A Place to Unplug

Gus Creek Ranch is a stunning 65-acre property nestled in Montana's Petty Creek Valley, where open pastures meet wooded mountain hillsides and the sound of clear water runs through our land.

Originally home to the Terry family, who raised hay and cared for retired show-jumping horses, the ranch continues to be a haven for horses, wildlife, and those seeking a true connection to Montana's natural beauty.

The ranch borders the pristine Lolo National Forest, providing direct access to over 2 million acres of protected wilderness.Learn more.

Ranch Life

Our Journey

In 2025, the ranch began a new chapter with its current owners, Chris and Halli, who fell in love with the land, the people, and the peaceful spirit of Petty Creek.

"We now spend as much time here as we can, unwinding with family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and slowly embracing the rhythms of ranch life."

It's a place of deep relaxation, beauty, and inspiration. For every project you take on at the ranch, three more seem to appear. It's rewarding, humbling work, and we love it.

Community & Connection

One of the best parts of this adventure has been the incredible neighbors we've met along Petty Creek, and sharing the ranch with friends and family who visit. The sense of community here is something special.

While the ranch feels like a true escape, we're only 30 minutes from Missoula, with easy access to the airport and all the culture and amenities of downtown. It's the best of both worlds—remote enough to feel wild and free, yet close enough to stay connected.
