A place to unplug
Gus Creek Ranch sits in Montana's Petty Creek Valley — sixty-five acres where open pasture meets wooded hillside, and clear water runs through the land.
The land
The property was home to the Terry family, who raised hay and cared for retired show-jumping horses. That work left a quiet mark — pastures, fencing, and a sense that animals and people belong here together.
The ranch borders Lolo National Forest, with direct access to more than two million acres of protected wilderness. Gus Creek and Petty Creek both cross the place; you hear them before you see them on a still morning.
Our chapter
In 2025 the ranch began a new chapter with Chris and Halli, who fell for the land, the neighbors, and the steady quiet of Petty Creek.
We spend as much time here as we can — with family and friends, outside when the weather allows, learning the slower work of ranch life.
For every project you finish, three more appear. It is rewarding, humbling work, and we love it.
Close enough
The ranch feels remote — and it is, in the ways that matter. It is also about thirty minutes from Missoula and the airport. Far enough to unplug. Close enough to stay connected when you need to.
Neighbors along Petty Creek have been one of the best parts of this. Sharing the place with friends and family who visit is the other.
